What is the jewellery made from?

Our gold jewellery is made of 22K gold vermeil. Our silver jewellery is made of sterling silver.

Our 22K gold vermeil uses 98.5% pure gold plated over solid sterling silver. Because we plate over sterling silver (there is no base metal in any of the jewellery) our earrings are all hypo-allergenic. There is no nickel or other base metal in any of our products so they shouldn't cause you any irritation.

Please be aware that in very rare cases people can have a sensitivity to sterling silver.

Our stones are all semi-precious stones. We have tried to ensure that the colours on the website are an accurate reflection of the actual colours of our products. However due to difference in stones, the colours can vary slightly occasionally.

How to care for your jewellery

The best way to care for your jewellery is to make sure that the pieces are kept in a dry, airtight plastic bag when not being worn. Don’t leave jewellery in the bathroom. Humidity can speed up the oxidation process that produces tarnish. Minimise your jewellery's contact to chemicals (hairspray, perfume, body lotion, bleach, etc.) and do not wear it in the shower or the swimming pool. A general rule of thumb for your jewellery is that it should be the last thing you put on before leaving the house, and the first thing that you remove when returning home.

Try to keep all of your pieces separate from each other to prevent scratching. To clean your gold vermeil jewellery at home, please use a simple silver polish cloth. Buffing your gold vermeil jewellery in this way is an effective and inexpensive way to keep your pieces lustrous.
